Arrest History in Blaine County
The Blaine County Sheriff's Office, Hailey Police Department, Sun Valley Police Department, Bellevue Marshal, Ketchum police service, and Idaho State Police can each create an arrest report. Most local custody intake then occurs at the Blaine County Public Safety Facility and Detention Center in Hailey. The arresting agency owns its investigative report. The detention center owns the booking and custody entry. If a prosecutor files a charge, the clerk creates a separate case in Idaho's iCourt system.
An arrest history can refer to one booking or a series of arrest events. The live county display is only a recent-arrest list, not a complete historic database. Absence from it does not prove that no arrest occurred. Older agency reports may require a focused records request, and the final result must be checked against the court docket or an official BCI self-review.
Three Blaine County Arrest Custodians
One event can produce three records with different content and access rules. Ask the arresting agency for the incident or arrest narrative. Ask detention for the booking and custody status. Search iCourt or contact the clerk for filed charges and the disposition. A request to the wrong office may return no record even though another custodian has exactly what is needed.
| Record | Custodian | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Arrest report | BCSO, city agency, or ISP | Event facts and officer narrative, subject to redaction |
| Booking entry | Blaine County Detention Center | Custody intake, alleged offense, agency, and booking date |
| Court case | District or Magistrate clerk | Filed charge, hearings, judgment, and sentence |
How to Look Up Blaine County Arrests
The official Blaine County Detention Roster is the fastest channel for a recent booking. It shows the arresting agency and date needed for the next checks. When the list is silent, call detention at 208-788-5564. For the underlying report, contact the agency that made the arrest. BCSO's main number is 208-788-5555, and its public-record form covers sheriff reports but not records made by city police, the Bellevue Marshal, or ISP.
- Read the recent roster and note the booking date, alleged offense, and arresting agency.
- Call detention at 208-788-5564 when the person is absent or current custody needs confirmation.
- Request the arrest report from the listed agency, using its form, phone, mail, or counter channel.
- Search iCourt and contact the clerk to learn whether charges were filed and how they ended.
- Use an Idaho State Police BCI name or fingerprint check for statewide repository history, then IDOC search if state custody or supervision followed.
BCI does not provide an instant public name portal. Its official name check is submitted by mail, fax, or hand delivery, while fingerprint review gives positive identification. The BCI instructions explain the forms and limits. BCI results are mailed, not returned by phone, fax, or email.
Blaine County Recent Arrest Roster
The roster presents seven public fields: a booking photo when populated, inmate name, age, hometown, alleged offenses, arresting agency, and booking date. It does not expose a confirmed name filter, booking-number search, advanced query, or export. Treat it as a published list. Do not expect hidden search controls or a full archive.
The official roster source shows how the county displays recent custody information.
The image is a view of the government interface, not a republication of any arrestee's identity or photograph. Confirm a record with detention and the originating agency.
What an Arrest Record Shows
A Blaine County booking record documents intake and custody, not the whole investigation. The public roster provides a small set of fields, while internal booking work also includes fingerprints, property and legal-document intake, health screening, and security classification. Medical and classification details are not ordinary public roster fields. The arresting agency's report may add the narrative, but ongoing investigations and personal identifiers can be withheld or redacted.
| Booking Identifier | Local intake reference; the public list does not expose a confirmed booking-number filter. |
|---|---|
| Booking Date | Date shown on the public roster and used to narrow requests. |
| Arresting Agency | Identifies which office keeps the underlying arrest report. |
| Alleged Offenses | Booking allegations that may differ from filed or final charges. |
| Bond | Custody-release terms when available; cash and approved surety channels are accepted locally. |
| Booking Photo | Shown on the official roster when populated; no photo is republished here. |
| Custody Status | Confirm current status by calling detention because recent entries can roll off. |
Inside Blaine County Booking
A local arrest commonly moves from transport to the Aviation Drive facility through identity and property intake, legal-document review, a booking photograph and fingerprints, health and mental-health screening, and security classification. Detention staff then place the person in a suitable pod and support a video or courthouse initial proceeding. The next step may be bond, release, work release, a local sentence, or transfer to Idaho Department of Correction custody.
The official detention center profile describes the local facility and the groups held there.
That profile places the booking process at a 36,000-square-foot, 90-bed facility with general, work-release, and short juvenile holding areas.
The county does not publish a promise that every initial appearance will occur within a set number of hours. Use the actual docket and detention confirmation. If a transfer occurs, the IDOC Resident/Client Search can show active state custody or supervision, but it is not an archive of all county bookings.
For release payments, the county's fees and bonding page distinguishes bond channels from inmate-account deposits and work-release charges.
Cash and surety bonds from Fifth District-approved licensed bondsmen are accepted, but the page should be checked for the current procedure before payment.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
Blaine County publishes recent arrests through the detention roster. The list is useful for identifying the booking date, alleged offense, and agency, but it is not described as a complete historical log. Entries can disappear from a recent view after release or transfer. The interface also lacks a confirmed advanced name or booking filter.
When the roster does not answer the question, call detention, then follow the named arresting agency. Search iCourt for a filed case, but remember that an arrest may never become one. For older BCSO material, submit a narrow sheriff records request with the involved name, date, location, case number if known, and clear record description.
Wood River Arrest Report Routing
Agency lines matter in Blaine County. BCSO cannot release Hailey Police, Sun Valley Police, Bellevue Marshal, ISP, or another county department's reports. Call Hailey Police at 208-788-3531, Sun Valley Police at 208-622-5345, or Bellevue Marshal at 208-788-3692 for their records. Ketchum guidance uses a police division under sheriff contract, so confirm custody through 208-726-7833 for the incident date.
A BCSO public request requires a residency declaration under Idaho Code §74-102(4). The sheriff states a 3-to-10-business-day response window for Idaho residents and a 21-to-35-business-day window for nonresidents. Investigative material may be delayed until investigation and adjudication are complete, exempt material can be withheld, and personal identifiers are redacted.

Blaine County Custody Communications
GettingOut supplies tablet and lobby video visits at the Blaine County detention facility. It is a communications service, not an arrest-search app. The county states that each inmate receives 60 free online minutes each week and that added visits cost $0.25 per minute. Adults need photo identification, while minors must be with a parent or guardian.
The official county visitation page explains those contact channels.
This separate system should not be mistaken for the roster, an arrest report request, or a court record search.
Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest proves only that law enforcement took a person into custody or processed an accusation. A conviction requires a guilty plea or finding in court. A booking charge may be amended, dismissed, or never filed. Compare the jail entry with the final court disposition before reaching any conclusion.
The county's Magistrate Court instructions show that citation disputes and trial requests go to the clerk, which is separate from the arresting agency.
The court route is where an allegation becomes a filed case and receives a disposition, if the prosecutor proceeds.
| Arrest Record | Conviction Record |
|---|---|
| Created by the arresting agency and jail | Created through the court's judgment |
| Shows that an arrest and booking occurred | Shows a guilty plea or finding |
| Held in agency and detention systems | Held by the clerk and reported to BCI |
| May lead to release, no filing, or dismissal | May lead to sentence, appeal, or lawful shielding |
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking may end without charges, by dismissal, or in an acquittal.
